Blog Challenge...Day Seven

August 31, 2011

If I like a book, I will read it in a day...
If I don't like a book, I will never get around to finishing it!
I figure, I should put three books that I have recently loved...and one that is a classic!
To Kill a Mockingbird
by Harper Lee
It doesn't get better than this!
I always said I would give my son the middle name of "Atticus"...(then I had a son and he received an irish name instead!)
 City of Thieves
by David Benioff
Have you ever randomly grabbed a book off the shelf, and found a fantastic read?  I happened to pick this one up two seasons ago.  It was on a book shelf in a home we were renting...I read it in two days!  I then handed it over to my husband, and he devoured it.
Thin is the New Happy
by Valerie Frankel
I picked this book up for a fun beach read!  This book made me do some soul searching and also think about my concern with my own weight and what my young daughter picks up on.  If you have ever tried to lose some weight, or have a young daughter...I highly suggest this great book!
My final book is one I am currently reading...
The Help
by Kathryn Stockett
I will discuss this book in tomorrow's post, which will be

**I know, this is the FIRST post in my challenge that does not have Sting in it!  So I will add a bonus book...

Blog Challenge....Day Six

August 30, 2011

I have mentioned this many times, but I could eat sushi everyday!  I cannot go to the grocery store without picking up some sushi and eating it while I shop.  I have more purses with soy sauce stains from eating sushi at the grocery store.  I prop my sushi on my purse in the front part of the cart...and the soy sauce squirts further than I planned, right onto my purse.

My kids also expect sushi when they go to the grocery store with me.  I love the looks we get when people see my young children eating raw tuna and salmon while  walking around with me!
 Kraft Dinner (Canadian)
Macaroni and Cheese (US)
I ate a box of Kraft Dinner the morning of my 6:00 in the morning.  If you read this previous post (here)...I mentioned I would eat macaroni and cheese as my last meal.
I guess you could say my wedding day was also my "last meal" as a single woman!

Every morning I eat an egg, one slice of bacon, and cholula...wrapped in a small tortilla.

(for those of you wondering...scrambled)

 I want a golden ticket....

I have never tasted this...but I assume it would be delicious!

Blog Challenge...Day Five

August 29, 2011

Fortunately for me, I was a flight attendant before I had children, so I have been fortunate to visit many wonderful places....My first three selections will be places I have been and loved, and my last three selections will be places I want to go!

Rome, Italy
This is truly the most amazing place! There is nothing better than grabbing a gelato, or a square of pizza while walking through the streets of Rome.
Rotorua, New Zealand

Rotorua is home of the Maori Culture.  It is a beautiful spot, and when my friend and I went to New Zealand, we knew we had to make a point to travel to Rotorua.  Rotorua is also an adventure destination!  My friend and I went Black Water rafting...
Basically, we went repelling in a dark and very wet cave!
But the main reason for our visit to Rotorua was ZORBING!!!
That's right, we climbed in big bouncy balls and rolled down a big hill!  Oh what fun that was!

Just a wonderful place!!!
Places I want to go...

I always kick myself for not traveling to Japan when I had flight benefits, and I could have flown to Narita for $ class!!
 South Africa

Who wouldn't want to go on safari in South Africa.  It seems like this would be a once in a lifetime experience!

Does this count as a place I would like to go?
 I think it does!
Tomorrow's challenge is five foods...

Blog Challenge...Day Four

August 28, 2011

**Warning...This post is purely about selfish personal desires**

I have been wanting the Canon T2i camera for so long...
they came out with a new T3i model.

I have iphone envy!  Since I use a US carrier for my service, and live a majority of the time in Canada...I would pay for data that I would not be able to use, while paying double for the data I did use.
So for now I have a crappy phone...and I am green with envy of those with an iPhone!

I want to learn to do this move...
This is my goal move for the fall...stay tuned!

I want to be able to sneeze, cough, laugh or jump...
like I could before I had children!

I want to be able to walk past a bikini and say "Oh, I love that...I wonder if they have it in my size?" and then in my fantasy, I would find the small, try it on, and buy it because I love it!
I am tired of choosing a swimsuit because it fits, and then have to settle on the color and design!

enough said....

Who wouldn't want this....
I call this...CHOREPLAY!

Next up...SIX PLACES!
